1.3 - Hygroscopicity
A property characterizing the affinity of a
product with water. Ester oils (used in
compressors that use R 134a refrigerant)
are hygroscopic and consequently have
a high water-absorbing capacity when
compared to the naphthene mineral oil
and synthetic oil (alkylbenzene) used with
R 12 or R 600a.
1.4 - Miscibility in Lube Oil
R 12 blends in mineral
or synthetic oil
(perfect miscibility).
